Games  Day in room 302 on Thursdays. Come play or learn how to play Magic the Gathering , Pictionary, Sorry, Cards, Chess etc… If you are interested in learning how to play, or have a group already,  come check it out this Thursday at lunch in room 302.

You’re invited to the library at lunchtime every day this week to watch videos about a 16 year old girl with autism who recently spent 15 days crossing the Atlantic Ocean in a solar powered sailboat.  Greta’s now in New York City, raising awareness about climate change.  Bring your lunch to the library any day this week, we can watch youtubes and talk about some of the climate related activities going on in Victoria.

If you were not able to attend the information meeting but are still interested in being part of this year’s Mainstage Musical Theatre production of “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” auditions are going on this week and there are still a few audition slots open.  Sign up on the bulletin board outside the theatre office (up the ramp from the band room).

Off Topic, Spectrum’s student book club Wednesday’s at lunch in the library office. New members are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

There is a training session for those wishing to help out with the Cops for Cancer Fazl Sock Fundraiser happening Thursday at Lunch in Room 203. All students wishing to help out should attend. See Mr. Van Tine for more details.

All grade 11 students – there is a CLC assembly on Thursday during Collab block in the Theatre.

Attention Spectrum Aboriginal Students:  Ms. Milliken and Mr. Thomas are holding a First Nation Student Lunch Meeting on Wednesday September 18th h 11:30 in room 301.  We look forward to seeing you.

Do you need help with math?  There are peer tutors available every lunch in room 316.

Grade 11 and 12 students wishing to learn more about various universities across Canada, come to the Canadian Universities Event on Oct. 1 at Oak Bay. This is a chance to ask questions and get information about admissions. Pick up a permission form in the office and return it by Friday to secure your spot on the bus.

Do you have a job? Are you in grade 11 or 12? You can earn graduations credits if you sign up with Ms. Condie. Drop by and see her in the Career Resource Center.

Are you 16 or older? Are you interested in government? Work and get paid for a day on the Federal Elections Day Oct. 21st. Come see Ms. Condie for details and application.
