Grads: there was an error in the wording on the table seating forms – Shauna does need to know if you have any food allergies or special requests for food – please see her in the office if this applies to you.

Also for grads, dinner dance and dry grad tickets are now past due, if you are planning on going but haven’t paid yet, please let Shauna know in the office as we have to finalize numbers.

Just a reminder that there is a meeting tomorrow at lunch for students that have signed up for Peer Tutoring for the 2017/2018 school year in the Library. We will discuss your placements so be sure to be there!

Do you have any textbooks or Library books that you are no longer using? Please return them to the Library before Friday.  All other textbooks are due during the Copernican Days next week.

Congratulations to grade 11 students Scott Gordon (tuba) and Tavish McDiarmid (bass) who auditioned for and were accepted to the Esquimalt Township Youth Arts Mentorship Program! The program provides opportunities for young musicians to broaden their musical experience and scope.

Congratulations to Jennifer Forster (clarinet) Scott Gordon (euphonium), and Daniel Mengesha (percussion) who have all been chosen to perform in the BC Provincial Honour Wind Ensemble! All three were selected based on their auditions and will rehearse and perform with some of BC’s top student musicians in Richmond this coming fall.

Congratulations to Daniel Mengesha (a grade 11 percussionist)! Daniel won The Lieutenant General J. W. Quinn Annual Music Award recognizing him as one of the top Army Cadet musicians in Canada.

Thanks to everyone that came out to support the Marching Band at the Oak Bay Tea Party last Saturday and the bands’ Year End Concert. Don’t miss the Spectrum Sr. Jazz Band performance at the TD Victoria International Jazz Fest on Sunday June 25th, 2:00pm at Centennial Square.

If so you may be interested in being part of next year’s SOCIAL JUSTICE Club.  Bring your lunch, your friends and your ideas to Room 309, Thursday at Lunch to find out more.  See you there!

Did you know that our award winning yearbook now features video? Be sure to download the Aurasma App and follow spectrumyearbook2017 to have the images in our yearbook come to life! You have ONE MORE WEEK to pre-order your yearbook! Celebrations Day is next Tuesday, June 20th so pre-order now and skip the lineup! All yearbooks are $55. Order now in the office!

Another reminder from Spectrum Yearbook and the Library: Be sure to return all outstanding library books or pay overdue fines. You will not be able to receive your yearbook until your library account is cleared! Check with your TAG teacher to see if you have any overdue materials. A hokie always repays their library debts!
