Attention Spectrum Aboriginal Grade 12 and 10 Students: Aboriginal Nations Education has Grade 12 scholarships of $500, $1,000 and $1,600 which you can apply for. Aboriginal Nations Education also has Grade 10 Bursary Awards of $150 available. The application deadline is Friday May 18th. Spectrum’s Got Talent 2018 kicks off today at lunch with first round action from Daniel & Tavish, Cheylon, Emily, and Harleen.  Come out to cheer on your fellow students and vote for your favourite act.  Admission is by donation with proceeds going to charity (use that loose change weighing down your pockets…or come anyways even if you’re flat broke!).

Spectrum’s musical “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” is now available on DVD! Pick up your copy in the office for $5.00 each! (run until the 19th)

The Yamate exchange program from Japan is currently seeking 4 students to act as Spectrum buddies to 4 Japanese students when they visit Spectrum for 4 school days! This is an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in Japanese culture and making friends with someone from another part of the world! This is also a great opportunity for students looking for volunteer hours towards their graduation! This opportunity is also open to international students. Grads – there is an important grad assembly at Lunch on Wednesday this week in the Theatre. We will be hearing the grad valedictorian speeches and voting as well as giving other important grad reminders and information.  All grads please plan to attend.
