Spectrum’s Audio Visual Club is having its first Open Mic event of the school year this Thursday the 27th. It will be held right after school in room 110 and everyone is welcome!

Any student interested in supporting & raising money for the Cops for Cancer campaign by getting their head shaved, please see Mr. Thatcher in room #158 for pledge & permission forms ASAP…remember, if every person in this school raised/donated just $25, we would easily reach our school goal of $30,000…if you can’t get your head shaved, then pledge someone who is…this money we raise goes directly towards sending kids with cancer to summer camp…SUPPORT & GET INVOLVED!!!

Jr. Boys soccer meeting today at lunch in room 27.

Any girls interested in playing junior or senior basketball, please see Mrs. Bott at recess Thursday September 27th in Rm 200 for an urgent meeting to talk about upcoming events.

Football Buyout Game – On Friday, October 5th, all Block D classes will attempt to ‘buy’ their way out of class to watch our Spectrum Thunder football team play. Each student is encouraged to bring a tooney to their D block class to be able to watch the football game out back. Each class needs to raise $50 to be able to participate. This will be the final fundraiser for our Tour de Rock campaign. Deadline to participate and raise your class funds is Wednesday, October 3rd.

Grads – there are just a few more days to get your idea’s in for a grad logo. Drop your idea’s off with Shauna in the Office.

The Aboriginal Nations Leadership Class will be meeting today and tomorrow at lunch time to prepare for Orange Shirt Day. Please bring your lunch to room 301 today. We need as many people as possible to attend so we can get things ready – new members always welcome! If you have any questions see Ms. Milliken in room 300 anytime or in room 301 at lunch today.

Sign up for the Cops 4 Cancer Bike-a-thon today. So far the Grade 9’s are winning with the most money raised. Come pick up a pledge form outside the Career Resource Center and drop it off to Ms. Condie or the office by this Friday. Let’s help send a child to Camp Goodtimes!
