Student Council Applications

Student Masks

  • All students should have received two reusable masks that were provided by the Ministry of Education and the Greater Victoria School District. It is mandatory that students bring a mask every day. While most students are very good with remembering their masks, we are finding that more and more students are forgetting their masks as the days go by. Please remind your students that masks are mandatory to enter Spectrum and to enter any common areas. Let’s keep Spectrum safe.

 Course Changes – priorities

  • Our Counselling and Administration staff are working hard to ensure that all students with Quarter 1 timetable issues are rectified as quickly as possible. We understand that students may have issues with courses in Q2, Q3 and Q4 as well. These concerns will be addressed in the near future after the Q1 schedules concerns are fixed. We thank both student and parents for their continued patience as we navigate this new school year.

Student Verification Forms – coming after courses are finalized.

  • Student Verification Forms will be coming in the coming weeks. We apologize for the delay in getting these to families. As we are distributing information to families via student cohorts, we need to ensure that student cohorts are set and in their final cohort.

 School Activity Fees/text books deposits

  • This year Spectrum has reduced our Student Activity Fee from $30.00 per student to $15.00. While student activities will be limited, our student Leadership is still working on coordinating fun and safe activities for our students. No student shall be refused an education opportunity due to inability to pay. If this fee presents a hardship for your family, please reach out to your student’s counselor or school administration.

Student Book Club

  • “Off Topic”, Spectrum’s Student Book Club, begins on Wednesday September 23rd at lunch in the Library Learning Commons. New members are always welcome!
