The Pacific Cat Clinic has a Grade 11 student kennel assistant practicum available.  They are needing 2 students to work through to the spring.  This will fulfil your work experience. If you are interested, please see Ms. Condie in the CRC in the afternoon.

Are you interested in joining Best Buddies this year? Come to the peer Buddy meeting this Thursday at lunch in room 302.

Attention all students interested in joining Spectrum’s Aboriginal Leadership class: We will be having our first meeting tomorrow (Thursday) at lunch time in room 301. Any new students interested in joining are very welcome to attend. This class runs all year, is open to any Spectrum student and earns you four credits towards graduation. The goal is to promote student leadership and awareness of Indigenous culture, history and community. Some events coming up soon are Orange Shirt Day which is about raising awareness of the effects of residential schools, planning our fall Elders’ Tea, and doing some work with Esquimalt High’s land-based class and the Royal BC Museum. Come and check it out or see Ms. Milliken in room 301 if you would like more information.

Students and staff, bring your coins to this Friday’s assembly & BBQ to help kick off our Cops for Cancer campaign with a bang! Also, is your car dirty? Need it to sparkle? Come to the Cops for Cancer Car Wash this Saturday, September 16 from 9 to 1pm in the Spectrum Parking lot! Washes by donation. Don’t have a car? You can still participate because we are also looking for volunteers to help wash! Hope to see you there.

Band bottle drive this Saturday, September 16th from 9 to 1 in the Spectrum parking lot. Drop off your bottles and then roll over to get your car washed!

Need help in one of your classes? During collaboration block on Thursday you can come to the math/science help room in 316 or the English/socials help room in 160.  Students in all grades are welcome!
